Shutting his locker, Pete gave a small wave to Grace, who was a few lockers away. Waiting when she finished up, he smiled as she approached him. "Ready to get this thing done?" he asked lightly, as they fell into step into the cafeteria together. I can live with skipping German for one day.

Seth glared at the oil paints and the painting. He liked art. He liked it a lot but right now he felt frustrated with his work. It didn't look like anything it was supposed to. He glanced around the classroom, checking out others. Ashely Wyeth's was amazing, as usual. Claudia's was beyond amazing and one day he'd get the nerve to talk to her again. He looked at Carly's. Hers was really pretty. He walked over to hers, studying it for a moment.
"Carly, that looks really pretty," he said, still looking at it. Am I the only one in the room without talent?

Mia was in a good mood, which was strange for her in the morning. Usually mornings were full of grumbles that it was too early and she didn't get enough sleep. Pleasantly Aaron had actually slept the entire night and Mia was in a good mood.
Mia spotted Mari walking towards their Psychology class and she picked up her pace a bit to catch up with her.
"Hey Mari," she greeted her, "How have you been?"

It was my birthday yesterday. I'm offically 18 and an adult. I can offically vote, which I plan to do the next election comes along.
I spent my birthday with my family. Mom made a cake and Megan come down. She came down with a bunch of laundry and spend most of the night doing that but that's besides the point. Megan started asking me where I was applying to college and want I want to study. She's pushing me towards UConn and was telling me how awesome it was. Sometimes my sister and I are so radically different. She may be majoring in partying, I want to major in something worthwhile.
After my thing this summer with "being nice to people," now I just really want to get out of Stoneybrook and start living. I want to become that famous photojournalist now. I want to get a start on life and being eighteen now makes me feel like I have the license to do it.
Well, in the meantime, I just keep pushing to be the best that I can be and expect the best from others around me.

i should do something with him tonight.

Brad heard a knock at the front door, rousing him from the deep sleep he was in on the living room couch.
He rolled over on his side, looking at the front door for a minute to see if his mom was getting it, then remembered that she was at a Mary Kay party.
With a groan, he got up and made his way to the door. He let out a loud yawn, then opened the door, seeing Stacey McGill standing on his front stoop.
"Yeah?" he asked, rubbing tiredly at the back of his head, and wishing he'd just ignored the knocking and gone back to sleep.

After dinner Polly retreated to her room so that she could do some study, her applications had all been sent off and so now that they were finished with, she was free to spend the evenings focusing on her schoolwork. Normally she'd have gone to the study but her father had needed to use the study that evening, so she decided to just do her work in her room.
Once she got to her room, she put on some soft classical music and settled down to focus on the work that she wanted to get done that evening. Aside from the main homework that she had to do, she also made notes on the things that she had gone over and went over them a few times so that she was pretty sure in the content material.
It took her a couple of hours before she had managed to finish what she needed to do but she was pretty happy with the result of her work that evening.

Melissa asked me about the cards awhile ago, and we actually talked about it, and she actually listened, like she's... like she was actually interested. And interested in more than just finding out if somebody likes her, like she was interested in how it worked.
The only other person who ever asked me about stuff like that was David, but even that was in a different way, he didn't... I don't know. I don't even know what I'm trying to say.
Six of Cups (Pleasure): Opening your heart to the simple pleasures of life. Fond memories fuel the playful embrace of love and life. Experiencing the joy of youth and sexual innocence. Engaging in acts of gentle kindness. Harmony of natural forces without effort or strain. Meeting an old friend.
I feel like I'm getting a crush on her, but at the same time, I kind of think that I'm just trying to distra

Penny yawned. Rehearsals got so boring sometimes. Or at least, they did when you just had an ensemble role. Not that she was bitter or anything.
Except that up on stage, they were working on "Take Me Or Leave Me", so it brought out her 'I should have been Joanne' bitterness, even though Erica was awesome at it.
She yawned again, then looked across the auditorium, seeing Cary sitting a few rows over. They had that partner project thing to work on, and had been avoiding it. Now was probably as good a time as any to get it done.
She got up, gathering her things, then headed over to him, sitting down with an empty seat between the two of them.
"Hey, babe," she said. "Want to kill some time with this partner thing?"
